While courts are an important part of padel, the sport’s success relies on building a strong community around it. That’s why tournament infrastructure is growing quickly and notable events are leading the way.

But none have been more exciting and inclusive than the Anglo American Padel Cup. Reminiscent of golf’s Ryder Cup with U.S versus Great Britain, the Anglo Cup’s second iteration will expand to include over 100 players to compete from February 4-6, 2027.

After last year’s successful inaugural event in London, the tournament will shift to the U.S. and take place at The Replay Club, one of Palm Beach County’s premier facilities. With 10 courts and luxury amenities, the club will host the tournament supported by lead sponsors Playtomic and Babolat.

The tournament’s expansion will include an additional pair of players across each of the categories: Open, 40s, 50s, and 60s. The Cup will also introduce a new University category, designed to showcase emerging talent and provide a new pathway and incentive for the next generation of players.

“By increasing participation and introducing a university pathway, we are creating a more inclusive and competitive event reflecting the rapid growth of padel in both countries,” Anglo American Padel Cup Co-founders Bill Ullman, Ben Nichols and Joelle Quinn said in a joint statement.

The Anglo American Padel Cup’s goal is to celebrate padel, highlight this classic rivalry, and grow the sport at all levels. The team behind the event understands that this is the pathway to bringing the sport more participants, fans, and general awareness to ensure the sport’s expansion over the coming years.

With events like this led by the world’s biggest leaders in the sport, it’s easy to see how the sport can be successful on a wider scale across the U.S. and beyond.
