Playkout Brings Pickleball into the Simulator Era
The first-ever pickleball simulator system allows players to rally, train, and have fun in compact indoor spaces
Pickleball’s rapid growth has created a new opportunity in racket sports to bring the game into smaller spaces with simulation technology.
Playkout is aiming to lead that shift.
Co-founder Jorge Guerrero created one of the first pickleball simulators designed to make the sport more accessible, more gamified, and less dependent on traditional court infrastructure.
“We wanted to jump into the pickleball frenzy,” said Guerrero. “But we also wanted to avoid building courts. The real problem to solve was how to emulate what golf simulators have done to create a place where no matter the weather, you can go play and have fun.”
The Playkout system combines physical ball strikes with a digital gameplay experience within compact indoor spaces that require as little as 150 square feet. It includes volley-focused gameplay with expanded options for shots, dinks, and more advanced rally scenarios.

Beyond training, the platform incorporates arcade-style games to appeal to a broad audience. Players can choose from classic favorites such as darts, tic-tac-toe, or puzzle-style challenges.
“We cater to all types of pickleball players,” said Guerrero. “Everyone can play.”
Since the simulator system only needs a small amount of space, there are many opportunities outside of a traditional pickleball club location. Potential sites include family entertainment centers, multi-family residential properties, senior living facilities, golf simulator venues looking to diversify offerings, and more.
The system can help operators generate new revenue streams or enhance guest experiences without the real estate requirements of full courts.

For the next phase of growth, Playkout is raising capital to accelerate growth with broader distribution partnerships and branded experiences.
“We’ve identified many verticals that can use one of these simulators,” the founders said. “With new capital, we’re confident we can be selling ten or more units a month and eventually thousands annually.”
Playkout aims to deploy 5,000 simulators within five years to position pickleball simulation as a meaningful new category within sports entertainment. It’s currently focused on expanding in the U.S. and Canada.
The opportunity for this growth is attainable. In the United States alone, roughly 20,000 golf simulators are sold each year. If pickleball simulation captures even a small percentage of that market, it could represent a meaningful new segment in sports participation and entertainment.
By lowering space requirements and introducing gamified experiences, Playkout believes simulators will expand pickleball participation beyond traditional players and venues.
As pickleball continues evolving from a participation boom into a more mature sport, innovations like simulation technology will play a major role in shaping how and where the game is played.
