As the racket competition continues to heat up with the newest entry from Mizuno and classics like Wilson and Babolat, HEAD is stepping up its game with its new SQUARED racket.

The new racket innovation for this release is its dual-tube architecture that separates power from comfort and gives it all to you in one frame. The outer tube, using Torayca™ T800S carbon fiber, optimizes stability and power. The foam-filled Comfort Tube, running from grip to main string bed, absorbs vibration and reduces arm strain.

"SQUARED represents a new category of racquet construction," said Felix Schumann, Director of Product for HEAD USA and Canada. "By separating power and comfort into two distinct systems within the same frame, we've created a racquet that allows players to swing more freely while reducing the physical impact of each shot. It's designed to support performance over time, not just in a single moment."

According to an interview with Sports Illustrated, the racket is perfect for beginners, players returning to the game after a long hiatus, and coaches who feed balls all day.

SQUARED is one of the most headlight balances in HEAD's lineup, giving players lightning-fast handling and effortless swings. According to HEAD, internal testing reveals players can push harder and last longer with less muscle activity for more endurance.

Key Features of SQUARED

  • Dual-tube construction: Separates power and comfort into two engineered systems.
  • Torayca™ T800S carbon fiber outer tube: Delivers stability, power, and control.
  • Foam-filled Comfort Tube: Reduces vibration and improves feel.
  • Ultra head-light balance: Enables faster, more effortless swings.
  • Reduced muscle activity: Supports longer play and improved recovery.
  • 16x18 string pattern with directional drilling: Enhances power and responsiveness.

This racket release shows a renewed focus on rec player frames rather than the pro-level lineups that brands typically market. While it doesn’t have the big pro players using it, there is a large audience of rec players interested in rackets that provide a great playing experience even if they aren’t at the top level.
