Sponsors Flock to Padel’s World No. 1 Arthur Coello
On and Rolex jump into the sport with first-ever sponsorships
We’re seeing padel’s rise in real-time and major brands have decided they can’t sit on the sideline anymore.
This past week has been groundbreaking for the sport and more specifically the brand of 23-year-old Spanish padel world No. 1 Arthur Coello. He’s signed two global mega deals with On and Rolex to build out an impressive portfolio of sponsors for a sport has broken onto the scene in major markets across the world.
While this is a testament to his top form, his marketing success shouldn’t be too much of a surprise with a strong team behind him led by WME Sports’ Daniel Dios, Hernan Auguste and Juan Acuna. They lead a new padel group ready to build the same brands for padel players that they have with their other talent. Legendary agent Max Eisenbud also has a strong role in the group as he brings his prowess from years of working with Maria Sharapova, Iga Świątek, and others.
Momentum is still growing in the U.S, and while no one’s sure exactly where padel will end up on the popularity spectrum, brands are starting to go all-in on the fastest growing sport.
