Move over pickleball! Padel is the new high-end travel experience sweeping resorts across the world.

This past week, the Four Seasons Resort “The Ocean Club” announced the arrival of two new padel courts available beginning in May. Experienced and amateur guests alike will find customized coaching available, tailored for their level of play.

While racket sports at luxury resorts are nothing new, the focus has always been on tennis and recently pickleball. However, padel is beginning to steal the spotlight as resorts see big potential in attracting a high net worth clientele interested in playing the sport with over 30 million players worldwide.

Sports-tripping has been around for a while as people plan getaways around playing and watching sports. It’s become a big opportunity for global travel and resorts are investing heavily in the infrastructure to support its interest.

Beyond The Ocean Club, many other resorts got in on the padel trend in 2025. These include Amanzoe in Greece, Montauk Yacht Club in Long Island, and Le Jardin des Douars in Morocco.

But just having the courts isn’t enough. Tourists are looking for programs centered around the sport, whether that’s coaching and clinics or complimentary exercise like yoga. Resorts are rising to the task though and creating vacations perfect for the padel lover.
