Major League Pickleball Names Life Time’s LT Pro 48 as Official Ball for 2026 Season
Life Time takes next step in becoming the major power player in pickleball
As Major League Pickleball prepares for its 2026 season, the league has named Life Time’s LT Pro 48 as its official ball, with play set to begin May 22 in Dallas.
Known as a leader in the pickleball club space, Life Time has quickly stepped into broader relevance within professional pickleball through key partnerships beginning with the PPA Tour and now the MLP, both as the official ball. Aligning with these leagues in an official capacity positions Life Time as more than just an operator, but a brand helping shape the sport at multiple levels.
"Becoming the official ball of Major League Pickleball is another stamp of approval for the durability and consistency of the LT Pro 48," said Ryan Brister, Vice President of Life Time Racquet Sports. "Partnering with MLP expands the ball's reach and reinforces its position as a trusted standard in professional pickleball, supporting both doubles and singles play within the league's unique, team-focused format."
From a business standpoint, the deal reflects the continued buildout of sponsorship inventory within pickleball. As the sport matures, leagues like MLP are creating new categories for brands to own, from equipment to apparel and beyond.
While the ball itself isn’t a game-changing partnership, the future impacts are clear. Major League Pickleball is continuing to professionalize its product, and companies like Life Time are increasingly looking to play a larger role in defining the future of the sport.
